The show debuted with a bang thanks to clever story twists and flashy stunts, but by the third episode, there isn't anything new or interesting to say. There are several elements in Infinite Shadows that have been seen in the first two episodes and in other spy thrillers.
Mason Kane, nicknamed Kyle, and Nadia Sinh are searching for survivors of the fallen organisation while they are reunited at the Citadel's safehouse in Spain, while Bernard is still being held captive and subjected to torture by Dahlia. It takes the reader around Iran and Paris, showing how they fell in love and dealt with their amnesia and new identities. Flashbacks and the present are alternated.
The plot of a fatal virus that will be released, uranium levels, love moments, and conspiracies have all been seen before, despite the film still being jam-packed with amazing action, where Priyanka shines once more. It can be challenging to keep up with events because of the intense and dramatic present-day sequences, which cause the pace to alternate between rapid and slow and the tracks to change from Bernard and Dahlia to Abby.
The show's saving graces are Priyanka, Richard, and Stanley, whether it is their difficult romantic chemistry or Stanley's sarcastic comment to Dahlia that he would have expected her to be at a weekly coven meeting or an animal sacrifice.
Overall, the third episode of Citadel Season 1 features stylish entertainment and action, but the narrative is disjointed. Things should pick up now that the major storyline twist involving Kyle's wife Abby's secret being revealed has occurred.
